Waldorf School Aftercare Provider

The Micha-el School is seeking a fun, loving, and caring After School Care Provider. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year experience working in a State Certified childcare center, have a combination of hours or degrees as set forth by the State of Oregon for working in a licensed center, work well with colleagues, communicate well both written and verbally, and have an understanding of Waldorf philosophy.

Responsibilities of the After-School Care Provider include, but are not limited to:

Help to maintain a clean and orderly classroom.
Create classroom activities and transitions.
Make and serve a nutritious snack.
Work directly with the children.
Oversee an assistant under the direction of the Early Childhood Director.
Spend a portion of everyday outdoors in all types of weather.
Create and follow a daily schedule.
Attend meetings as required.
Maintain confidentiality in matters regarding parents, children, colleagues and the school.

The candidate must be able to lift 40 lbs., have a current first aid/cpr
certification, food handlers permit and be registered in the Criminal
Background Registry for the State.

The hours for this position are 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., plus time allotted for meetings.
This position is Monday through Friday with days off as set forth on the
school calendar.
This is an hourly paid position at $20/hr. It does not have benefits or tuition remission.
